Brooke Daniel, DVM
Dr. Brooke Daniel is a 2014 graduate of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing small animal medicine in North Carolina for the last 5 years. She enjoys focusing on providing compassionate, quality care for her canine and feline patients. As a Stony Hill native and graduate of Wake Forest – Rolesville High School, Dr. Brooke is looking forward to returning to her roots and serving the people and pets of her hometown. Dr. Brooke completed her undergraduate coursework at NC State as well receiving a major in animal science and a minor in genetics.
When she is not working Dr. Brooke’s main focus is on her family. She loves spending time with her husband, daughter and two dogs, Johnny and June. She also loves spending time with her three beautiful nieces.
Dr. Brooke and her family love spending time outside and visit Kerr Lake every chance they get.
Matt Movassaghi, DVM
Dr. Movassaghi was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 2013, he graduated summa-cum-laude with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Genetics Minor from North Carolina State University. He then earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Matt initially moved to a rural practice outside of Charlotte to gain experience practicing as a mixed animal veterinarian, but quickly found his niche working in the hospital with cats and dogs. Dr. Matt has continued to practice small animal medicine in North Carolina for the past 4 years and has also spent time as an adjunct professor in the veterinary technology program at a community college. His veterinary medical interests include dermatology, internal medicine, and preventive wellness health.
Dr. Matt is looking forward to building trustworthy client relationships within the local community at New Light Animal Hospital. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.
Kimberly Palgrave, BVM&S GPCert(DI) MRCVS
Dr. Kimberly Palgrave graduated as a Veterinarian in 2007 from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She is originally from Texas and is a graduate of Texas A&M University. She holds a certificate in Diagnostic Imaging from the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies. Prior to joining New Light Animal Hospital, she worked as a Veterinarian in both equine, small and mixed animal practices in Texas, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Scotland and Colorado before returning to the Raleigh area.
Dr. Palgrave has a passion for veterinary education and has worked as a clinician in the Small Animal Teaching Hospital at the University of Edinburgh and has also been an adjunct faculty member for the Veterinary School at Colorado State University. She has also worked for a Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging equipment company based in Scotland, where she developed and implemented training programs for Veterinary Students and Veterinarians across the UK and Ireland to further the use of ultrasound as a diagnostic tool in the general practice environment. Dr. Palgrave’s primary professional interests include Diagnostic Imaging (Ultrasound and X-ray), Dentistry and Soft Tissue Surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys music and spending time with her horse. She is thrilled to be back in North Carolina at New Light Animal Hospital and is excited to be part of a great team providing high quality, compassionate Veterinary care for your pets!

Jennifer is a seasoned Veterinary Assistant that has worked in veterinary medicine since 1994. She has lived in Franklin County her entire life. She loves going on long walks on the family farm with her dogs and her husband. Her daily goal is to be able to improve the health and overall well being of every animal that she works with. The Fall is Jennifer’s favorite time of the year and season. She loves the cooler weather and cheering on the NC State Wolfpack at Carter Finley Stadium. The Fall is also when she celebrates her favorite holiday – Halloween.

Groomer
Breann was born and raised in Oxford, North Carolina and has been involved with
animals her whole life. She currently lives with her two cats ( The baby and
Carina) and two dogs ( Pippin and Korra) and has to constantly resist the urge
to adopt a pug.
