Meet Our Doctors
Brooke Daniel, DVM
Dr. Brooke Daniel is a 2014 graduate of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing small animal medicine in North Carolina for the last 5 years. She enjoys focusing on providing compassionate, quality care for her canine and feline patients. As a Stony Hill native and graduate of Wake Forest – Rolesville High School, Dr. Brooke is looking forward to returning to her roots and serving the people and pets of her hometown. Dr. Brooke completed her undergraduate coursework at NC State as well receiving a major in animal science and a minor in genetics.
When she is not working Dr. Brooke’s main focus is on her family. She loves spending time with her husband, daughter and two dogs, Johnny and June. She also loves spending time with her three beautiful nieces.
Dr. Brooke and her family love spending time outside and visit Kerr Lake every chance they get.
Matt Movassaghi, DVM
Dr. Movassaghi was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 2013, he graduated summa-cum-laude with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Genetics Minor from North Carolina State University. He then earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Matt initially moved to a rural practice outside of Charlotte to gain experience practicing as a mixed animal veterinarian, but quickly found his niche working in the hospital with cats and dogs. Dr. Matt has continued to practice small animal medicine in North Carolina for the past 4 years and has also spent time as an adjunct professor in the veterinary technology program at a community college. His veterinary medical interests include dermatology, internal medicine, and preventive wellness health.
Dr. Matt is looking forward to building trustworthy client relationships within the local community at New Light Animal Hospital. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.

Sarah Conover,
Practice Manager
Sarah is originally from Princeton, New Jersey where she lived on a fruit and vegetable farm and moved to the Raleigh area in December of 2022. She went to Delaware Valley College in Pennsylvania for her bachelor’s degree in large animal science and went to North Carolina A & T for a Master of Science degree. Sarah has been working in the veterinary field for 13 years and her passion and care for animals is one of her greatest strengths. Sarah spends most of her time with her two dogs; Beatrice and Eloise and her two cats; Betty white and Eugene.
Heather Frye,
Lead Technician
India Williams, Receptionist
India was born in Atlanta, Georgia but was raised in North Carolina. All her life she has been surrounded by dogs, cats, and animals of all kinds. Some of India’s fondest memories include growing up across from a horse farm. After serving the hearing healthcare community along the Tidewater Virginia region for 8 years, India had decided to apply her compassion and understanding skill to those who cannot speak for themselves. When not assisting others, India enjoys exploring new experiences, spending time with family, and binging The Greatest British Baking Show.
Mia Halye, Veterinary Assistant
Mia started in this field by chance but stayed by choice. She loves giving back to other people’s special family members. Mia spends most of her time outdoors or inside with a good book. Mia has three wonderful pets in which she calls them her “Halloween” kids, because they are all black. Mia has two cats, Luna and Draco, as well as her new puppy Travis Barker.
Breann Longmire,

Breann was born and raised in Oxford, North Carolina and has been involved with
animals her whole life. She currently lives with her two cats ( The baby and
Carina) and two dogs ( Pippin and Korra) and has to constantly resist the urge
to adopt a pug.
Madison Davis, Veterinary Assistant
Madison is originally from Franklin County, North Carolina. She loves working in the animal field and being able to help animals in need. She has been in the veterinary field for a year and a half. Madison has a German Shepard puppy named Bailey and two cats named fat fat and skinny.
Hanna Baker,
Receptionist
Hanna is from Four Oaks, North Carolina and has lived here in North Carolina her whole life. She has been in the pet/vet industry for the past 8 years and has always had a passion for helping and loving all animals since she was a little girl! Her fondest memories are taking care of all of the strays that would find their way into her yard as a little girl!
During Hanna’s spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking dinner with her fiancé, and cuddling on the couch with her deaf American bully, Tonka, and lab mix Chance, who are the biggest cuddle bugs! She also has 4 cats, Tubbalub (Tubs for short), Mickey, Ninja and Lucy who all have very quirky personalities!

Melanie Miller, Technician Assistant
Melanie is originally from Baltimore, Maryland but has called NC home since about 2007. For as long as she can remember she always wanted to work with animals. She has worked with children for the last 5 years but now she feels as though she has found her calling taking care of others precious pets every day. Melanie spends most of her free time with her family including all of her own babies, Max (dog) Hades & Milo (cats) Sandy Cheeks (hamster) Alaska (leopard gecko) & Penny (snake) !
